Babcock Noell bei der China International Nuclear Power Industry Expo 2010

Würzburg, 29. Oct. 2010

Successful visit of Babcock Noell GmbH to the Expo in Beijing

This year, the China International Nuclear Power Industry Expo 2010 (CINE 2010) took place from 19 to 21 September 2010 at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing.

As one of the German technology suppliers, Babcock Noell GmbH (BNG) from Würzburg presented itself to the interested trade visitors with its own stand.

Organised by the CSSE, the Chinese Society for Nuclear Power Generation, and supported by the Chinese Department of Commerce, the CINE and the China Power Green Energy symposium, taking place parallel, are among the most important and leading international meeting places for nuclear and environment technologies in China.

The Würzburg-based company raised huge interest for its broad range of special components developed for power plant construction and hot cell projects. The trade visitors’ interest was focussed in particular on the components for the latest generation of power plants according to European standards, currently built by BNG in Taishan.

In the course of the CINE, Babcock Noell GmbH enjoyed great popularity and had various interesting conversations on the existing portfolio in the sector of nuclear technology, which ultimately showed the appreciation of the high level of competence of the Franconian company. A great number of new contacts with prospective customers and technology partners could be established.

The stay in Beijing was not only used for participating in the trade fair but also for discussing projects and visiting construction sites.

Mr. Pan Qianyon, Project Manager Construction, proudly presented the Taishan 1 + 2 construction site near Hong Kong, showing the Babcock Noell team the construction progress and the level of quality of the reactor of the type EPRTM 1.6 GW right on the site. The site preparations for further the scheduled construction of further plants, Taishan 3 + 4 and 5 + 6, have already been started.

Babcock Noell GmbH gives a very positive review of their participation in the CINE and is confident about the future business development in China.
Next Year, Babcock Noell will also present itself with a fair stand and attend the subsequent symposium at the 9 Nuclear Power Industry Exhibition taking place from 6 to 8 April 2011 in Shenzhen, China.
